The barrel and receiver show no visible damage other than handling and storage marks. Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. Type of Finish: Blue Finish Originality: All Original Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition. The LOP measures 13 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The checkering is sharp and without mars. The stock shows some mars in its matte finish, but no scratches or compression marks. It has a serrated plastic buttplate and a black plastic grip cap with a silver colored Savage Arms Indian Head logo. Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one piece black checkered synthetic. The receiver is threaded for a scope mount and the aperture style mount on the left side. The rear sight a peep style rear that is adjustable for windage and elevation.
Barrel Length: 21” Sights / Optics: The front sight is a globe style sight with 10 reticle inserts. The right side of the barrel is marked with the Savage 3 line “Warning” and address. I have been very pleased with all of my LE series Savage rifles. It's the most feature laden factory "tactical" style rifle I've seen and nothing else touches it at the price point and most wont touch it at twice as much or more. Mine however came with a thread protector and no brake.
The EGW scope rail included was an additional bonus. More features and several hondos less than what my 10PC cost me. I couldn't pass up the deal when I bought mine for $450 while they were somewhat available. Most sensible thing I've heard is that it was a distributor exclusive. It was an uncatalogued model and all kinds of rumors about it's existence swirled about it. I re read your post and I'm pretty sure you have a 10 TR. The precision carbines I have seen come with a digital camo stock without a beavertail fore end which this one has.įrom the little I can see it looks like a 10 FP or possibly a 10 TR.ĭoes it have a detachable box and a fairly long bolt handle instead of a knob?
